Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated intern to join our team and gain invaluable experience in the field of real estate law. As an intern at Susan J. Kim Law, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the real estate attorney as well as our team of paralegals, providing assistance on a wide range of legal matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research on real estate laws and regulations specific to Illinois counties and precincts. 
  • Support the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, attorney reviews, and closing documents.
  • Manage pay stubs and financial statements.
  • Help maintain organized case files and legal databases for easy access to essential information.
  • Communicate with clients via telephone and/or email on behalf of the paralegals or attorney to deliver necessary information.
  • Administrative work including working closely with the attorney to support day-to-day tasks in upkeep of the office.
  • Manage administrative schedules including arranging meetings with clients on behalf of the attorney or paralegals.
  • Maintaining strong brand identity of the company through marketing tactics such as brand goods and social media marketing.

Qualifications (Needs):

  • English and Korean proficiency.
  • Tech proficiency including but not limited to: Microsoft Office and Google Suite Apps.
  • Strong interest in real estate law.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Qualifications (Wants):

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a law school program.

  • Customer service experience including over the phone and in person.

  • Experience with using Smokeball, legal management software.
  • Experience in brand building and marketing.
